Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

When you create an account on Learnr, we collect your name, email address, and the account credentials needed to sign in. When you use the learning chat, we store your conversation history to provide personalized learning experiences.

For security and abuse prevention, we also process limited technical information about your connection, including your IP address. We do not store your IP address in its raw form - it is stored only as an irreversible hash, which we use to detect and limit abuse such as the creation of multiple free accounts from the same network.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and personalize your learning experience
  • Track your progress and award achievements
  • Communicate with you about your account
  • Improve Learnr's features and content
  • Protect Learnr against fraud and abuse (such as limiting free-account abuse from a single network)

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a trusted cloud database provider. We retain your data for as long as your account remains active. You can permanently delete your account and associated data from Settings → Delete account, or contact us if you need help.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share data only with service providers necessary to operate Learnr (such as AI model providers for generating learning content) under strict confidentiality agreements.

5. Publishing Courses

Learnr lets you publish a course you have created to a shared catalog so other people can discover and start it. If you choose to publish a course, its content (such as the course title, description, topic, and lesson outline) may be made publicly available, including on pages that are visible to anyone on the web and that may be indexed by search engines and AI answer engines. We do not publish your email address or account identifier as part of a published course. Publishing is optional and you control it: you can unpublish a course at any time from within Learnr, after which we remove it from the shared catalog and from newly generated public pages.

6. Cookies

Learnr uses local storage to keep you signed in across sessions. We do not use third-party tracking cookies.

7. Children's Privacy

Learnr is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice on the Learnr homepage or emailing your registered address.
