Why Learnr exists

Learnr started with a simple frustration. I loved Duolingo, the streaks, the bite-sized lessons, the feeling of actually showing up every day, but I wanted to learn more than just Spanish. I wanted that same experience for everything: chess, photography, finance, coding, anything I was curious about.

So I built Learnr: the Duolingo for everything. You put in a prompt, and Learnr builds a complete, personalized course for you, with bite-sized lessons, interactive practice, instant feedback, XP, and streaks to keep you going.

Since it launched in 2026, learners have created 318 courses on Learnr, and 218 people are learning with it.

Who builds Learnr

Learnr is built by Dev Sanghavi. Dev is a 7th grader at Lanier Middle School in Houston, Texas. He built Learnr to make learning anything feel as fun and habit-forming as his favorite app, and he is still the one shipping it. You can see more of his work on his portfolio at devsanghavi.com.

Sebastien Beyrak also built Learnr alongside Dev. He is a 7th grader at Wilson Middle School in the Tampa Bay area, and as co-founder he works on engineering and growth, building features and helping more people discover Learnr.
